Since August 31, 2016 (that is, the cargo arrival date), trade in Cameroon exporters and importers need to comply with the requirements of the Cameroon government’s office, Agence Cameroon Normalisation (ANOR) Conformity Assessment Programme called PECAE , in order for their goods to clear customs . Failure to do so can result in severe delays in goods clearance, penalties, or even shipments being returned.

 

Scope of implementation:to ensure that the imported goods conform to relevant technical regulations and standards

 

Applicable rules:PECAE

Control products:all control products (health care products and beauty products, all processed and unprocessed food, building materials, refined petroleum products, gas cylinders and paper, etc.)

Assessment method:certification inspection agency has the responsibility to through the evaluation of applicable includes risk assessment mechanism to ensure conformity of the goods, can be made of a combination of one or more of the following evaluation methods:
