Descriptio:

An ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) certificate is required for all

shipments going to South Sudan

POD:

DJOEBA and or (trans)shipments going via Mombasa (Kenya), Cape Town (South Africa), Port Sudan (Sudan), Massawa (Eritrea),Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania),Djibouti (Eritrea)

Docs required:

  • Bill of Lading – aDraft copy can be used forthe draft.
  • Commercial Invoice
  • Freight Invoice – Necessary if not stated on Commercial

Invoice

  • Export Customs Declaration – Details have to be matched

with all documents if it is not Cross trade.

Notes:

According to South Sudan Customsregulations, all cargo shipped to the

country requires a ECTN certificate.

The authorized person must validate ECTN certificate for South Sudan at

the latest 5 days before the vessel arrives at the destination.

Shipment arriving without ECTN or false information in the CTN resultsin a

fine of an amount that is twice of the cost of the Electronic CTN, plus the

regulation charge determined by South Sudan National Port officials.
